Demalo is the first 2 letters of three words connected, design made local. The aim of the site is to provide information and links to products designed and/or made in the UK.
Trying to support local design
I’m a creative director living in the UK and since buying and renovating a house over the past 5 years i’ve looked more closely as to where items are designed and produced. In doing this I’ve found it really hard to try to buy UK designed products. Sites don’t seem to put this very clearly and I’ve found it very difficult to find out. Hours spent trying to track down information about companies pages and double checking on wikipedia have lead to me creating this site and searching out more.
